A similar disinflationary theme is showing up in the UK as well, with pricing pressure coming off substantially across both core and services CPI, opening up a window for global central banks to pivot towards easing in 2024.To help with the soft-landing narrative, Empire manufacturing showed a decent bounce in the past month, echoing other PMI indices that the worse in US manufacturing might be behind us, just as rates are hopefully about to enter into a less restrictive phase in 2024.
