Guggenheim Partners, a global investment powerhouse managing $300B in assets, has made a bold move by issuing $20M of tokenized commercial paper on the Ethereum blockchain ($ETH). This follows the recent trend of traditional finance entering the blockchain space, with German industrial giant Siemens AG recently issuing digital commercial paper via JPMorgan’s Onyx and the blockchain platform SWIAT.

While Real-World Assets (RWA) tokenization is new for Guggenheim, the firm is no stranger to the crypto world. Their Macro Opportunities Funds have had exposure to the crypto market for years, authorized to invest up to 10% in the Grayscale Bitcoin Trust (GBTC).
