Scholars differed regarding leverage. Some scholars said that leverage is not forbidden and that Allah Almighty meant in this noble verse the people at the time of the Messenger, may Allah bless him and grant him peace, who used to borrow money and were unable to pay it back within the agreed upon time. The borrower would say, “Give him more or take it double and postpone it to another time.”
O you who have believed, do not consume usury, doubled and multiplied. And fear Allah that you may be successful. (130) And fear the Fire, which has been prepared for the disbelievers. (131) And obey Allah and the Messenger that you may receive mercy. (132)
Allah has set for us rulings And a law until the Day of Judgment, meaning that God is telling us in our time that we live, do not increase your wealth multiple times x 10 x 50 x 100 and x 125 etc..

Obey God and stop making deals that multiply with financial leverage so that you may receive mercy
