As we approach the halving of bitcoin there is alot being talked about cyptocurrencies, in the "real world".
My mum wrote me the other day that "China is implementing a digital currency!", Bayern Munich is promoting crypto on TV and at work, i am also a full time chef, my collegues talk about meme coins.
With all that hype comes also alot of sceptisism, especially from people who defend the good old paper money, because they can feel it in their hands. It is real to them, while crypto is coming from the sky or whatnot.
Fact is, while digital currencies do have a lot of things to consider, esp. done wrongly could have a quite totalitarian approach, paper money has also caused a lot of hardships, is created out of thin air these days and has kept being inflationary for decades, which ultimately always created war and conflict.
As a young father, my son is now 3 months old, all these things are on my mind. I want to make it right, though i know that i cannot make everything right for his generation, i want to at least be aware of were the world is heading.
Ultimately I am optimistic because In the end, everything will be good.
