With Google Cloud running an execution node, the Flow network can scale without compromising on decentralization and security.

And the latest node upgrade (Crescendo) means Flow now has full EVM equivalence!

Crescendo, now live, is the biggest upgrade since the genesis of Flow. It removes complexities for developers and enables full interoperability with the broader Web3 ecosystem.

The Flow Mainnet network upgrade is now complete.

The block start height is 85981135

The upgrade is almost complete. 447 nodes are running the Crescendo software and blocks are processing normally.

As a final stage, we suggest that developers test and validate that the upgrade was successful for their contracts through their own access nodes.
During this app-testing phase, we request that RPC operators disallow connections to avoid disrupting the tests. This means end-users cannot submit transactions until testing is complete.

The next update will be provided in 3 to 4 hours.

The Flow network upgrade has now started. It is expected to finish at ~11am PT. Transactions will not process during this period.

To accommodate this significant upgrade, the Flow network will be in maintenance for ~6 hours starting at 5am PT, 4th September.

For developers, this is your last chance to stage any contracts for Cadence 1.0 before Crescendo. Any contracts that have not been staged will make associated NFTs, Fungible Tokens, or data inaccessible.

Builders on Flow need to ensure smart contracts are updated and staged for Cadence 1.0 on Mainnet, before the September 4th upgrade.

Cadence 1.0 contract staging will not be possible after the network upgrade, any non-updated contracts will permanently stop working along with associated assets.
