--Twitter users have claimed responsibility for exploits that stole $1.9 million from pump.Fun, a fast-growing memcoin startup platform, on May 16.

18.05 Jarrett Dunn of the X account (formerly Twitter) tweeted that he spent the night in custody after being arrested by British police in connection with the exploit that led to the theft of #SOL from Pump. Fun last week. Fun is worth about $1.190 million.

Dan described himself as a disgruntled former employee of pump. Fun, the platform claims to be operating in violation of UK law. Dan also claims pump. fun plans to distribute 8,000 million airdrop to early users.

'I spent the night in custody because the pump team claimed I stole 200 million from illegally made profits and that I conspired to steal another 8,000 million,' Dunn tweeted. "When I get back to the station after bail, I will prove to the court that the Pump is guilty of much more disgusting shit. Do you think they are more guilty of the British equivalent of running unregistered stock exchanges and gambling sites without a license, kyc or aml? "

5/16 Another Twitter user also identified himself as Dan and claimed responsibility for the attack.

The strange tweet came after the pump of 5/17. fun posted a message attributing the attack to a "former employee. "The platform also tweeted that it cooperated with law enforcement on the day of the hack.

The incident comes after pump. fun had been growing rapidly since its launch on May 1. From May 5 to May 10, pump. fun ranked No. 1 among #MemeWatch2024 protocols with a weekly revenue of 330 million yen.

Pump. fun did not respond to Defiant's request for comment.

In his 18.05 tweet, Dan also criticized pump. He plans to integrate online porn on the platform to enjoy exploiting foreign workers.

But despite trying to portray himself as a martyr ready to speak out against his former "horrible boss," Dan's tweet was not a comment.
