My first Ever p2p scam in crypto market .
It is believed that just as human body is not completely absent from illness(diseases ), so it is with scammers in the crypto space. More specifically, in the p2p market.
I could remember pretty well 2023 when I got my first payment as an affiliate. As a baby in crypto space, I had no idea of converting my assets into my native currency. wandering in this state, I decided to chat up some guys on telegram whose identities was not known for guidance. At first non of them appeared to show any Oita of concern. Few days later, a particular guy reached out to me privately claiming to be a binance P2P merchant and at the same time, an employee with binance. Having heard how reliable binance platform was I cared less about investigating the guy. He gave me directions on how to send the fund and all of the processes involve, I transferred my fund expecting to get payment to no avail. And that was how I lost my entire assets to scammers on P2P and I have learnt to always consult binance academy for whatever it takes to stay safe in crypto market in general .
My humble opinion to binance as the largest crypto exchange is to be more proactive in fishing out scammers before they carry out their fraudulent art. There is a proverb that says" You make the hey while the sun shine". Secondly, every binance P2P merchant must be licensed to operate. Finally, Everyone using binance platform must be verified. (KYC)
Now if one must stay safe on Binance P2P, you must engage in the following practices:
1. Do not sell/buy from any merchant chatting you privately
2. Always fact check 70 percent of the merchant transactions before placing your order to buy/sell
3. The merchant must be verified or licensed by binance
4. Never release your assets when you haven't confirm your money in your traditional bank account. Note: You must have received your payment before pressing payment received option.
THE KEY TO ALWAYS STAY OUT OF SCAMMERS IS IN YOUR HAND. UTILIZE IT!
stay safe !
