According to Odaily, Apple Inc. will delay the release of its upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) features, which will not be available at the initial launch of the iPhone and iPad software updates. This delay will provide the company with additional time to address potential issues. Sources familiar with the matter revealed that Apple plans to introduce Apple Intelligence to customers by October as part of a software update. This means the AI features will be released a few weeks after the scheduled September launch of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. However, Apple intends to offer Apple Intelligence to software developers for early testing through the iOS 18.1 and iPadOS 18.1 beta versions as early as this week. Concerns about the stability of these features have partly led to their separation from the initial iOS 18 and iPadOS 18 releases. In June, Apple announced these new features and operating systems at its Worldwide Developers Conference, stating that Apple Intelligence would debut as part of iOS 18 and iPadOS 18. The revised timeline indicates that the AI features will not be widely available until subsequent updates to the new operating systems. An Apple spokesperson declined to comment.
