According to Odaily, the FBI has filed charges against the crypto network gang FIN9 for orchestrating cyber attacks on US companies, resulting in losses exceeding $71 million. The members of FIN9, Ta Van Tai, Nguyen Viet Quoc, Nguyen Trang Xuyen, and Nguyen Van Truong, are alleged to have infiltrated the computer networks of several US companies.
From May 2018 to October 2021, private data concerning employee benefits and funds were stolen based on non-public information. According to the indictment, the cybercriminals infiltrated company networks through phishing activities and supply chain attacks.
