Block Inc., a digital payments company, might soon join the S&P 500, potentially becoming the first firm with a clear Bitcoin strategy to do so. According to VanEck's Matthew Sigel, Block meets the key criteria for inclusion, such as a market cap over $18 billion and positive earnings. Unlike Tesla, which holds Bitcoin but lacks a specific strategy, Block invests 10% of its monthly Bitcoin profits consistently. Founded by Jack Dorsey, Block is a major Bitcoin holder. The company will change its ticker to 'XYZ' and release its Q4 2024 results on Feb. 20.
