The cryptocurrency market has witnessed unprecedented growth in 2024, driven largely by Solana’s ecosystem of meme coins. Market analysts project this momentum to continue through 2025, as these digital assets maintain their dominant position in trading volumes and investor interest.
Solana Meme Coins to Watch for 2025
Throughout 2024, the Solana meme coins stole the spotlight with new launches like Pudgy Penguins (PENGU), Fartcoin, and Gigachad dominating the market action with all of these meme coins registering 600-1800% gains on the yearly chart. However, POPCAT witnessed the biggest rally with more than 6500% gains.
By mid-November 2024, the POPCAT price touched an all-time high of $2.10, however, since then, the meme coin has been moving sideways dropping over 60% from its peak, and is currently trading at $0.77. This makes a return to its peak and further rally challenging in the short term. However, the altcoin could see potential for recovery and growth if it manages to reclaim $1.00 as support.
Furthermore, if the Solana meme coin narrative gains strength further, it can push the POPCAT price to a new all-time high level of $2.10 and more. Speaking about this development with BeInCrypto, Lennix Lai, CCO at OKX Global, said:

Ethereum Meme Coins to Watch in 2025
Ethereum continues to be the biggest home for meme coins while hosting the top two leaders – Dogecoin (DOGE) and Shiba Inu (SHIB). However, one of the outperforming Ethereum meme coins for 2024 was SPX6900 (SPX), which rallied by a massive 9,362% since the beginning of 2024.
The altcoin capitalized on the trend, attracting the attention of meme coin enthusiasts and becoming one of the top 15 meme coins globally, with a market cap of $748 million. Currently trading at $0.75, SPX has struggled to break past the $0.91 barrier for the past two months. Despite broader market gains, the meme coin’s short-term outlook remains uncertain.
If SPX has to rally further to its all-time high of $1.19, it must first break past the resistance of $0.91. This means another 50% gain from the current level. On the downside, the crucial support for SPX price is $0.56.
