$DOGE A serious security flaw in the Dogecoin network has been exploited by a hacker, causing the collapse of 69% of its active nodes. On December 12, Andreas Kohl, co-founder of the Bitcoin sidechain Sequentia, revealed that he used an old laptop in El Salvador to execute the attack.

The flaw, known as "DogeReaper," allows attackers to remotely disconnect Dogecoin nodes simply by entering their address. This vulnerability was discovered by researcher Tobias Ruck and publicly disclosed by an account on X on December 4, comparing it to the "Death Note" from the famous manga and anime, as it allows any node to stop functioning due to a segmentation fault, causing it to crash.
