In 1984, #RichardBranson was traveling to the British Virgin Islands when his flight was unexpectedly canceled. Determined to reach his destination, he decided to charter a private plane. To make it affordable, he wrote “Virgin Airlines” on a blackboard along with a $39 ticket price and walked around the airport offering seats to other stranded passengers.

This improvised solution not only got him to his destination but also sparked the idea that air travel could be done differently, with a focus on better customer service. This experience ultimately led to the creation of #VirginAtlantic , which grew into a major player in the airline industry by challenging the status quo.
