His ordeal began when Nigerian authorities accused him of money laundering, resulting in his arrest and lengthy detention. During prison time, Gambaryan’s health deteriorated significantly, leading to concerns on his well-being. 

After months of legal proceedings and diplomatic efforts, the charges were finally dropped, allowing him to seek medical treatment in the U.S. This ends a difficult period for Gambaryan, his family, and Binance.
