Following the introduction of cryptocurrency exchange-traded funds (ETFs) in the U.S., investors are eagerly awaiting new products for trading digital assets.
During a panel at Ripple Swell 2024, Tim McCourt of CME Group discussed the potential of #XRP ETFs, noting that the creation of an underlying rate and real-time index for XRP is an important step forward.
The discussion came after the SEC received a second application for an XRP #ETF from Canary Capital.
Mr. McCourt noted that the ETF rollout has significantly accelerated the growth of the #cryptocurrency sector, which correlates with increased futures volume and open interest.
