The chances of the Federal Reserve upping its highly anticipated September rate cut from 25 to 50 basis points are now almost 50/50.
Due to be announced on Sept 18, the decision remained a "close call," according to some officials.
Additionally, former New York Fed President Bill Dudley, who remains highly influential, said at an event in Singapore that there's "a strong case" for a 50 bps reduction.
