BEP-341 is an approved Binance Evolution Proposal for the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) that enables validators to produce multiple consecutive blocks (now set at four) instead of rotating after each single block. This change aims to improve transaction throughput and network efficiency. Key points include: 1. Consecutive Block Production: Validators can produce four consecutive blocks, optimizing transaction processing time and increasing TPS (transactions per second). 2. Governance-Controlled Parameters: The number of consecutive blocks (initially set to four) can be adjusted via governance if needed. 3. Anti-MEV Measures: To mitigate risks of validators manipulating transaction ordering for profit, additional fees may be allocated to the SystemRewardContract. 4. Security & Liveness: Validator rotation and the requirement for active participation of over half the validators safeguard network integrity and prevent centralization risks. Action Required for Centralized Exchanges (CEXs): CEXs that support #BSC need to: Integrate the Fast Finality API to ensure seamless deposit confirmations under the new block production system. Implement a 60-Block Confirmation Fallback in case the Fast Finality API fails, as an added security measure.
