PS5 Pro has made fans angry over the high price. PS5 Pro is priced at $700 USD. Fans complain the console doesn’t seem worth it, especially if there is no disc drive and no new games.

Sony recently revealed PS5 Pro details in an announcement covering all the features and the launch date. Little did they know (or it was obvious but they still dared to), fans instantly started getting furious over the high price set at $700. According to fans the new console doesn’t offer much without new games and a disc drive for this much price.

A user posted on X complaining that no disc drive is worth it and that even if the console offers 2TB SSD, the price should have been maximum up to $650 USD.

The results of a poll on X shows 77.8% of negative response. The total votes are currently 1,784.

PS5 Pro is currently being trolled on X and Reddit. On Reddit, a thread by Turbostrider27 received more than 10,000 negative comments. The trailer and the announcement are also being increasingly disliked.

The trailer at the time of this post currently stands at 140k dislikes. Although third party apps for dislikes viewing can make a counting error, the tweets of fans reflects the stats. The same situation happened with the Minecraft movie trailer that was released recently.

Users are also sharing their comparison of improved graphics that PS5 Pro offers. The replies under the comparison tweets spot no difference in the results or any difference worthy of the price gap.

In the past few days, the internet has bloomed with praise for the Astro Bot launch on PlayStation. Now, the PS5 Pro is trending with almost all the negative responses on social media.

The PS5 Pro is scheduled for its pre-orders on September 26 and official launch on November 7. There has been no response from Sony regarding the price backlash. Recently, PlayStation had to shut down its multiplayer shooter game, Concord. The game was struggling with the number of customers and wasn’t performing well. The same situation can be anticipated with the PS5 Pro launch, as players are reluctant to buy it at the current price.
