WOMEN IN CRYPTO - PHILLIPINES, takes a new turn.
Following the Philippine Blockchain Week 2023, a panel discussion titled "Wealth in Web3: Restoring Equity and Building Inclusion Around Women" was moderated by Naama Pozniak, CEO and founder of Paz Holding. The panel included nChain’s Business Development Lead – Philippines, Stephanie Tower, Crypto NFT Educator Yashika Khater, and Principal Cross-Border Wealth Manager at Abacus Wealth International, Joel Barretto.
Stephanie Tower highlighted the gender gap in various fields, emphasizing the need for government policies to address this issue. Joel Barretto mentioned the rapid growth of the technology sector and encouraged women to become more involved.
Yashika Khater shared insights from Indian culture, where women are highly respected. When discussing ways to promote women's roles in the blockchain space, Stephanie Tower acknowledged that while progress is being made, societal norms can still limit women's opportunities. She encouraged women to believe in their capabilities and not be constrained by gender stereotypes.
Joel Barretto emphasized the importance of financial literacy and how it can impact women's participation in the workforce. He also mentioned that women tend to be more conservative in their investments.
Naama Pozniak and Yashika Khater praised the Philippine Blockchain Week for its efforts in promoting diversity and inclusion, with a significant number of women involved in the event's production. They emphasized that the conversation on women's inclusion and support is just beginning and will require collective efforts to continue making progress.
