According to BlockBeats, Thai police are actively searching for four Chinese nationals suspected of breaking into a luxury home in Pathum Thani and forcing a Chinese victim to transfer $2 million (approximately 70 million baht) in digital currency.

The incident occurred around 2 a.m. on Wednesday at a house in the Ban Mai subdistrict of Muang district. Thai police reported that six residents were present in the house at the time—three men and three women.

One of the victims, identified as 35-year-old Chinese businessman Ke Jibao, stated that he and his wife were asleep in their bedroom when the four suspects, armed with guns and knives, broke into their home. Ke, his wife, and a maid were tied up by the intruders.

The suspects ordered Ke to call a relative in China and transfer $2 million in digital currency to their account. After confirming the transfer, they stole the house's security camera server that recorded the incident and fled in the victim's black Toyota Alphard.

The stolen vehicle was later found around 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday near a power plant on Liap Khlong Prapa Road. The vehicle has been transported to the police forensic science center for investigation.

Ke informed investigators that he was unaware of the motive behind the armed robbery and did not know how the suspects were acquainted with his relative.

Police noted that the robbery was meticulously planned, as the suspects managed to enter the residential area without using a vehicle, thus avoiding the need to show identification to security guards.

Colonel Narong Iamrahong, chief of the Pak Khlong Rangsit police station, stated that investigators are reviewing footage from other security cameras in the area to track the suspects. He also mentioned that further questioning of the victims and neighbors will be conducted.
