According to data, the number of active addresses on the Solana blockchain reached a historic high of 54.33 million in July, a significant increase of 151% from 21.6 million at the beginning of 2024. Additionally, the network's non-voting transaction volume also reached a peak of 1.3 billion in July, indicating high on-chain activity. The upcoming Firedancer upgrade is expected to push the network's performance to new heights. This alternative client deployment, developed by Jump Crypto, aims to significantly improve Solana's transaction processing capacity and overall network resilience. Firedancer may enable Solana to process millions of transactions per second, far exceeding its current capacity. This upgrade will further solidify Solana's position as a high-performance blockchain.
