According to PANews, Russian Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak has directed the Ministry of Energy, system operators, and the market committee to conduct a comprehensive analysis of the reasons behind the increase in energy consumption across various regions of Russia. Novak emphasized the need to distinguish between regions experiencing growth due to cryptocurrency mining and those growing due to economic and industrial expansion. In areas where electricity demand is linked to mining activities, high-profit enterprises might consider building their own power generation facilities to meet their needs. This analysis is expected to influence the implementation of plans for new energy capacity development.
