**Neuralink's Second Human Trial: "So Far So Good"**
Elon Musk's brain-computer interface (BCI) startup, Neuralink, has kicked off its second human trial, with Musk revealing on the Lex Fridman podcast that the trial is "so far so good." The implant, featuring around 400 electrodes, is reportedly functioning well.
BCIs enable communication with computers using thoughts. Neuralink’s first patient, Noland Arbaugh, who was paralyzed, has successfully used the implant to control computer interfaces.
Musk envisions Neuralink granting superhuman abilities like thermal vision and curing neurological disorders. He also hinted at future AI integration to enhance brain capabilities, though scientific backing for this remains sparse.
