Michael Saylor, the executive chairman of MicroStrategy, continues to express strong confidence in Bitcoin’s future. In a recent keynote at the Bitcoin 2024 conference in Nashville, Saylor projected that Bitcoin could reach $13 million by 2045 in his base scenario. He noted that with Bitcoin's current price at approximately $65,000, its market capitalization stands at $1.3 trillion, representing just 0.1% of global wealth.

Saylor’s forecast for Bitcoin to hit $13 million by 2045 would necessitate an annual return of 29%. At that growth rate, Bitcoin’s market cap would soar to $280 trillion, making up 7% of global wealth. In a more optimistic scenario, Saylor suggested Bitcoin could rise to $49 million and cover 22% of global wealth, while in a pessimistic scenario, it could be valued at $3 million and constitute 2% of global wealth.

Under Saylor’s leadership, MicroStrategy has amassed 226,331 Bitcoin over the past four years, currently valued at around $15 billion, which is about 80% above its total purchase price.
