According to blockchain data, Huione Pay, a Cambodian payments company linked to the country's ruling family, received over $150,000 worth of cryptocurrency from a wallet associated with North Korean hackers Lazarus between June 2020 and February 2021. The cryptocurrency was stolen by hackers from three crypto companies in June and July 2020. Huione Pay stated that it was unaware of the source of the funds and the National Bank of Cambodia has warned that the company is not authorised to deal or trade in cryptocurrency. Huione Pay did not respond to requests for comment.
