According to Odaily, Phillip Securities' Japanese subsidiary has invested in Sony's upcoming film 'Hero Island' and plans to issue security tokens to enable consumers to invest in the movie through digital securities. The issuance technology will be provided by Securitize Japan, whose parent company is supported by BlackRock. The film is scheduled for release in 2025, but a small batch of tokens worth 100,000 yen (approximately $629) will be launched next week on a permissioned blockchain. Investors will have the opportunity to share in the film's revenue, including box office earnings, video and broadcast sales, and additional bonuses. They may also have the chance to participate in extra footage, attend the film's premiere, receive promotional posters, and even have their names appear in the end credits.
