Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana have outperformed conventional assets like Gold despite the crypto market's lackluster advance since Bitcoin's ATH in March. A recent analysis found that crypto assets have had the strongest returns for a while.

Solana, Bitcoin, and Ethereum Outperform Traditional Assets
Exponential Age Asset Management (EXPAAM) Co-Founder Raoul Pal published the crypto investing firm's latest monthly report, demonstrating annualized returns on all main assets.

Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana outperformed conventional investments with 141%, 152%, and 224% annualized returns. For comparison, NDX, the best significant conventional asset, returns 17% annually.

This has made crypto assets the best-performing in 11 of the previous 14 years. These digital assets had larger YTD gains and might beat conventional investments again this year. Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana have YTD increases of around 67%, 66%, and 70%, according to CoinMarketCap.

Gold is the best-performing non-crypto asset this year, up 13% YTD. The NDX gained 10% YTD, while the SPY gained 11%. Crypto assets' volatility has been questioned, yet it has helped them outperform conventional investments.

Jurrien Timmer, Fidelity Investments' Director of Global Macro, said that Bitcoin has had the highest risk-reward since 2020. He also noted Bitcoin's volatility, saying its enormous drawdowns have generated significant profits. The same applies to crypto tokens, like Solana, which plunged to $10 in late 2022, is currently trading at $170.

Future Gains For BTC, ETH, SOL
Given the crypto market's bull run, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and Solana could see additional YTD gains this year. Recent crypto market changes also bode well for these coins. Demand for Spot Bitcoin ETFs has grown. On June 4, Farside Investors reported net inflows of $886.6 million, their largest day since March.
