① Start by selecting your indicator.
You have the flexibility to choose from various indicators:
RSI, MACD, Ichimoku Clouds, Bollinger Bands, and many others.
Today, I will walk you through the entire process using the Bollinger Bands indicator.

The simplest strategy when working with the Bollinger Bands indicator is straightforward:
1️⃣ Below the Bollinger Bands - open a short position
2️⃣ Above the Bollinger Bands - open a long position
Always trade cautiously and don't forget to apply basic risk management principles.
② How to set up your workspace:
➬ Firstly, open the indicator's source code
➬ Create a working copy
➬ Give it a name
➬ Click "Save"
③ Convert the code to v5 format:
➬ Click "More"
➬ Select "Convert Code to v4"
➬ Repeat for v5 format.
④ Create your trading strategy with #GPT-4o:
➬ Copy the code of your indicator
➬ Paste it into ChatGPT
➬ Specify the conditions for your trading strategy
➬ Let ChatGPT do the magic!
Remember, without conditions, nothing will work. So, be very responsible with this step.
Example of my strategy conditions:
"Develop a trading strategy based on the Tradingview Bollinger Bands indicator using Pine Script v5.
Immediately open a long position when the price closes above the upper Bollinger Band and a short position when the price closes below the lower Bollinger Band.
Exit the long position when the short entry condition is met and exit the short position when the long entry condition is met."
⑤ Insert your new strategy code into TradingView:
Use the AI to generate the logical part of your strategy, then copy it.
➬ Copy the new code
➬ Go back to
@tradingview
➬ Paste the logical part of the code at the end
➬ Click "Save"
⑥ Always check for errors:
Keep in mind, AI may not always generate error-free code.
However, it can swiftly correct errors for you.
➬ Input the code with errors into #GPT-4o
➬ Ask #GPT-4o to help you correct it
➬ Copy and paste the refined code back into
@tradingview
➬ Repeat the process as needed
The objective here is to obtain error-free code.
But if you (like me) managed to get error-free code on the first try, that's great too.
