🚨: The US House of Representatives approved the FIT21 cryptocurrency bill with very strong support from House Democrats.
The bill represents the industry's most significant legislative achievement in Congress, and aims to create a clear regulatory framework for digital assets rather than relying on a 90-year-old securities law that was written before the Internet existed.
President Biden opposed the bill with a policy statement, although he did not say he would veto the bill. SEC Chairman Gary Gensler also strongly opposed the bill.
