According to U.Today, Mark Cuban, billionaire investor and co-host of the Shark Tank show, has shown support for Dogecoin co-founder Billy Markus amidst his significant activity on a social media platform. Markus, who created the original meme cryptocurrency, Dogecoin, in 2013, recently shared his views on social media behavior, to which Cuban responded positively.

Cuban, a top-tier Dogecoin enthusiast, was once the principal owner of the Mavericks basketball team, which accepted DOGE for tickets and merchandise. Despite selling almost all his stake in the team in November last year, leaving him with only 27% ownership worth over $3 billion, Cuban confirmed in a January 'ask me anything' session that the Mavericks still accept DOGE. The team has been accepting Dogecoin as payment since 2021, making it the first sports team to accept cryptocurrency.

Before becoming a cryptocurrency supporter, Cuban was a vocal critic, once stating that buying bananas made more sense than buying Bitcoin. However, he has recently shown support not only for DOGE but also for Bitcoin, Ethereum, and several other top cryptocurrencies.

In response to Markus's recent social media 'confession', Cuban expressed his support, agreeing with Markus that 'positive trolling' is 'never silly'.

When asked about the timing of a 'big announcement for DOGE', Markus responded that he had no plans to make any such announcements. He reminded users that he had withdrawn from the Dogecoin project over a decade ago, shortly after the meme coin was launched. Originally created as a parody of Bitcoin, DOGE was an alternative cryptocurrency based on the meme dog Kabosu and was not intended to be a serious competitor to Bitcoin. Markus revealed earlier this year that he still holds a small amount of DOGE and very little Bitcoin.
