According to Odaily, Singaporean comedian Mark Lee was detained by police after promoting a cryptocurrency trading platform, Immediate Mentax 0.7, during a live television broadcast. Lee claimed that users could profit by registering for the platform for free. The broadcast was abruptly interrupted by a call from the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS), demanding an immediate halt to the program. Lee was subsequently taken into custody but was released shortly after. Multiple Singaporean banks have since filed charges against him.
