According to PANews, Elon Musk's artificial intelligence startup X.ai has announced its latest generative AI model, Grok-1.5. The model will soon power the Grok chatbot for social network X, with the company stating in a blog post that it will be available in the coming days.

Grok-1.5 is an upgrade to its predecessor, Grok-1, with improved benchmark test results and specifications. X.ai claims that Grok-1.5 has enhanced 'reasoning abilities,' particularly in programming and math-related tasks. The model scored more than double the points of Grok-1 on the popular math benchmark test MATH and achieved over a 10% increase in scores on the HumanEval programming language generation and problem-solving test.

A significant improvement of Grok-1.5 compared to Grok-1 is its ability to handle a larger amount of text context. Grok-1.5 has a context of 128,000 tokens, where a token refers to a segment of the original text. X.ai wrote in the blog post, 'Grok-1.5 can leverage information from longer documents. Additionally, as its context window expands, the model can handle longer, more complex prompts while maintaining its ability to follow instructions.'

X.ai stated that Grok-1.5 would soon be available to early testers of X, accompanied by 'several new features.'
