A while back, I was playing on an online crypto gaming platform called BC Game. I decided to swap $2 USDT into the website’s custom token, BCD, and started playing. Luck was on my side, and before I knew it, I had won $50 worth of BCD.

Excited about my winnings, I made a huge mistake—I accidentally sent my BCD tokens to my Binance BEP-20 wallet address. Normally, this shouldn’t have been possible, but since BCD uses the same blockchain, the transaction went through successfully.

Here’s where things got tricky. If I had done this with any other wallet, I could have simply recovered the tokens using my seed phrase. But Binance doesn’t provide seed phrases to users, meaning I had no way to access my funds. And, of course, Binance wasn’t interested in helping—they don’t offer support for custom token recovery.

Desperate, I submitted a withdrawal appeal. Binance actually responded but demanded $100–$200 USDT (I don’t remember the exact amount) just to return my $50 worth of BCD. Talk about a bad deal!

Lesson learned: Always double-check wallet compatibility before making a transfer, and don’t expect Binance to care if you mess up.#
