Tron founder Justin Sun has announced plans to create a gasless stablecoin solution, aiming to make peer-to-peer transfers free. The solution will first be integrated on the Tron blockchain in Q4, with Ethereum and other Ethereum Virtual Machine-compatible public chains to follow. Sun believes this could be a game-changer for companies wanting to offer stablecoin services, potentially driving greater blockchain adoption. Tron currently leads the peer-to-peer stablecoin transfer market, processing two to three times the volume of Ethereum. The new solution could rival PayPal's PYUSD and Circle's USD Coin (USDC) on Ethereum layer 2 Base via Coinbase Wallet, both of which allow free transfers.
