According to PANews, the Ethereum Foundation's email account was recently hacked, resulting in phishing emails being sent to 35,794 individuals. The emails falsely claimed that the Foundation was collaborating with LidoDAO to offer a 6.8% return on Ethereum staking. If users clicked on the link in the email and approved the transaction, their wallets would be emptied.

The Foundation acted swiftly to halt the malicious emails, closing off the attack route and ensuring that the hackers could not access the email account. Investigations revealed that the hackers obtained 81 new email addresses during this attack, but no victims lost any funds.
