According to Odaily, a document previously disclosed on platform X reveals that the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority (DFSA) is planning to abolish non-custodial Bitcoin wallets to strengthen the regulation of crypto platform activities. The regulator emphasized the need to supervise 'interface providers' and mobile application developers to comply with MiCA regulations.

However, the Danish regulator did not propose to ban self-hosted cryptocurrency wallets. It was reported that the DFSA denied false reports about the regulatory body planning to ban self-hosted wallets, also known as non-custodial wallets. The agency will clarify the regulation after the decentralized regulatory assessment under the background of the Crypto Asset Market (MiCA) regulation, which will take full effect on June 30.
