#Coca-Cola Corporation has introduced a series of non-fungible tokens (#NFT s ) named "Masterpiece" on the second-layer #Ethereum network, #Base , powered by #Coinbase .
The NFT collection is based on the company's recent advertising campaign, partly created using artificial intelligence. Coca-Cola's tokens blend the works of emerging artists and global art masterpieces, including Edward Munch's "The Scream" and Johannes Vermeer's "Girl with a Pearl Earring."
Presently, there are eight different NFTs available, priced from 0.0011 ETH to 0.014 ETH, minted through the mint.fun platform. Approximately 50,000 assets have been released as of writing.
Coca-Cola's initiative is part of Coinbase's Onchain Summer program, celebrating the launch of the Base network. The project aims to develop the protocol in the realms of music, art, and gaming.
Additionally, the platform has allocated grants for decentralized app developers within the new protocol and announced a hackathon with a prize fund of $125,000.
In 2021, Coca-Cola had already explored the NFT market, collaborating with the Tafi marketplace to release a collection in honor of International Friendship Day.
