⚡️The court allowed the SEC to file a lawsuit against Coinbase for illegal exchange activities.

Previously, the SEC accused Coinbase of unregistered exchange activities and selling securities in the form of staking. The judge only dismissed some of the allegations regarding Coinbase's non-custodial wallet, but allowed the lawsuit regarding the lack of exchange registration to proceed.

Coinbase disagrees, as do most representatives of the crypto industry. In their opinion, crypto assets should not be equated to stocks and bonds.
