According to Odaily, Nick Timiraos, often referred to as the 'Fed's Mouthpiece,' has analyzed the current state of US inflation, highlighting ongoing concerns about seasonal factors. Some analysts argue that the moderate inflation trend observed in the second half of 2023 is an outlier, suggesting that inflation has not yet been fully controlled.

Conversely, others believe that the high inflation data from the first quarter of 2024 is the anomaly, disrupting a series of readings that had been approaching the inflation target since last summer. Since April, inflation has consistently been near pre-pandemic levels. So far this year, with the exception of March, the core inflation rate has been lower each month compared to the same period last year.
