According to BlockBeats, on August 9, Wemade, the developer behind the WEMIX project, disclosed that it is facing a lawsuit from former and current employees of its subsidiary, Wemade Tree. The lawsuit, filed on July 29, seeks damages amounting to 16.2 billion Korean won (approximately $11.85 million). The plaintiffs, comprising 27 former and current employees, allege that Wemade Tree had promised them WEMIX tokens and are now demanding compensation for the unfulfilled commitment.

Wemade revealed in an electronic announcement that the claimed compensation represents 4% of the company's capital. The company has stated that it will respond to the lawsuit through legal representatives, adhering to the appropriate legal procedures. The case underscores the ongoing challenges and disputes within the cryptocurrency and blockchain industry, particularly concerning employee compensation and token distribution.
