According to Odaily, Franklin Templeton and SBI Holdings have partnered to establish a new cryptocurrency ETF management company. The two firms officially signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for the joint venture on July 26. The new company aims to provide more diversified investment tools for young investors, particularly focusing on cryptocurrency ETFs. Franklin Templeton President Jenny Johnson highlighted that SBI's brand has a significant influence among young people in Japan, and the collaboration will make top-tier financial capabilities more accessible. SBI Holdings President Yoshitaka Kitao stated that the company will further promote its Web3 business through the new joint venture. A spokesperson from Franklin Templeton revealed that as Japan's regulations on digital assets and cryptocurrencies evolve, the new joint venture will introduce related products.
