According to U.Today, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin has expressed his admiration for the Community Notes feature on the X social media platform, previously known as Twitter. The feature, introduced by the platform's owner Elon Musk, has been met with a positive response from the cryptocurrency community. Community Notes is an initiative that verifies information published on the X platform, including content shared by mainstream and niche media. Activists involved in Community Notes also rectify information they perceive as incorrect or false, and provide links to sources they deem reliable.

Buterin praised not only Community Notes but also prediction markets, referring to them as 'the two flagship social epistemic technologies' of the current decade. He further stated that these technologies are 'truth-seeking and democratic, built around open public participation rather than pre-selected elites.' Musk responded to Buterin's tweet with a simple 'yeah,' indicating his agreement with Buterin's assessment. The cryptocurrency community also reacted to Musk's comment on Buterin's statement with enthusiasm.

In other news, Musk, who founded AI start-up xAI last year and subsequently created the Grok chatbot integrated on X, has announced the approximate release date for a major update - Grok 2.0. Musk acknowledged the existing issue of AI chatbots being trained on data from other large language models (LLMs) and stated that Grok 2.0, when released, will significantly improve this issue. The tech billionaire revealed that xAI plans to roll out this major update in August this year. Unlike ChatGPT, Grok is designed to be truth-seeking and honest when interacting with users. Musk believes that ChatGPT's tendency to be socially agreeable, or 'woke,' could be harmful for humanity in the long term.
