According to Odaily, on June 20, Zentry officially announced the acquisition of a majority stake in leading game publisher Maxion. Following the acquisition, Maxion will become Zentry's dedicated Web3 game publishing division, driving more game IPs onto the blockchain, including the much-loved IP, Ragnarok. This acquisition is set to facilitate safer and more convenient user interaction with the blockchain ecosystem, allowing players to truly own in-game assets and ushering in a new gaming experience.
Zentry's founder and CEO, Jarindr Thitadilaka, stated that the acquisition is a significant milestone for Zentry in becoming a Metagame Layer and bringing the MMORPG experience into real life. Zentry aims to merge the advantages of traditional gaming with Web3, creating immersive interactive experiences. Together, they plan to expand Zentry's product line and drive the global 3 billion players into a unified Play Economy.
