According to PANews, the Web3 Foundation (W3F), which supports the Polkadot ecosystem, has announced a reward pool worth 10 million DOT, equivalent to $74.5 million. The aim of this initiative is to encourage diversity in the development of the JAM protocol. The JAM protocol combines elements of Polkadot and Ethereum, and through the JAM implementer reward, W3F is seeking developers to diversify and strengthen the network's resilience.
JAM, standing for 'Join-Accumulate-Machine', provides a global singleton object environment that does not require permission, similar to the pioneering smart contract environment of Ethereum. This move by the Web3 Foundation is a significant step towards enhancing the robustness and diversity of the Polkadot ecosystem, and it is expected to attract a wide range of developers to contribute to the development of the JAM protocol.
