According to Odaily, recent data from MBO Partners reveals that the number of digital nomads in the United States has increased to 18.1 million in 2024, up from 17.3 million last year. This represents 11% of the workforce and marks a 4.7% year-over-year growth, with an overall increase of more than 147% since 2019. Notably, 79% of these digital nomads are utilizing AI to enhance their competitiveness. The report also highlights the top five destinations for digital nomads in 2025, which include Saint Lucia, Lisbon in Portugal, Barcelona in Spain, Greece, and Panama.
