YEREVAN (CoinChapter.com) — The Sui blockchain is gaining attention for its developer-focused ecosystem, with its SUI token surging 115% in October. Positioned as a competitor to Solana, Sui is seeing increased network activity and institutional interest.
Developer Experience Drives Sui’s Popularity
The Sui ecosystem’s success is attributed to its focus on creating an accessible platform for developers. Ramani Ramachandran, CEO of Router Protocol, stated that Sui combines the Move programming language with a simplified user interface.
“The interesting thing about Sui was the founders are not as visible, but they are doing something right because developers are talking about them,”
said Ramachandran. He emphasized the growing discussions among developers about Sui’s usability and capabilities.

The ecosystem’s developer community has also been highlighted as a sustainable aspect. According to Ramachandran, the community ensures the blockchain’s growth beyond its initial token generation event.
Sui Blockchain Shows Strong Metrics
Reports underline Sui’s growing adoption. VanEck’s October analysis showed monolithic blockchains, such as Sui and Solana, outperforming other ecosystems in September. During this period, daily active addresses on Sui increased by 140%, signaling a rise in user engagement.

This surge has also driven demand for the SUI token, pushing its market capitalization to $9.9 billion. K33 Research previously identified Sui blockchain’s streamlined architecture as a significant factor in its growing appeal among developers. Unlike other layer-1 blockchains with complex programming requirements, Sui provides accessible tools that simplify development.
Institutional Interest and Expanding Use Cases
Institutional partnerships further demonstrate Sui’s momentum. On Nov. 22, Franklin Templeton announced a collaboration with Sui to explore application development within its ecosystem.

The Sui blockchain’s high throughput and low latency make it a strong candidate for applications requiring frequent updates, such as video games. Mysten Labs, the team behind Sui, is also working on a handheld gaming PC. Expected to launch in 2025, this device will support both blockchain and traditional PC games.
