According to U.Today, Tether CEO Paolo Ardoino has responded to a recent Wall Street Journal report alleging a criminal investigation into his company. In a social media post, Ardoino dismissed the report, accusing the WSJ of recycling old information and asserting that there is no evidence of an ongoing investigation by the U.S. government into Tether, the prominent stablecoin issuer.

The report had initially caused a brief dip in Bitcoin's price, which fell below the $66,000 mark. However, following Ardoino's statement, the cryptocurrency managed to recover most of its losses. As of the latest data from CoinGecko, Bitcoin is trading at $67,460, reflecting a minor decline of 0.4% over the past 24 hours.
