Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant on Tuesday vowed that Israel would respond to Iran's October 1 attack on Israel, saying that the response would be “precise, painful and shocking.” However, he added, “we are not interested in opening additional fronts or new conflicts.”
An Israeli strike on Iran would take place before the US elections on November 5, officials familiar with the matter said.
