**Aptos Labs Expands into Asia with HashPalette Acquisition**
Aptos Labs, the developer behind the Aptos Network, is making waves in Asia by acquiring Japanese NFT service provider HashPalette. Announced on October 3, HashPalette will become a wholly-owned subsidiary of Aptos Labs, migrating its Palette Chain blockchain and applications to the Aptos Network.
This move aims to leverage HashPalette’s connections with Japanese businesses, opening doors to influential companies and supporting local Web3 participants, including developers and NFT creators. Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs, emphasized the importance of this acquisition in empowering Japanese enterprises with advanced blockchain tech.
In another significant development, Aptos’ blockchain will now host the Franklin OnChain US Government Money Fund (FOBXX), marking a partnership with asset management giant Franklin Templeton. This fund, initially on the Stellar network, is the first US-registered mutual fund to utilize blockchain for transactions and share ownership.
Aptos Labs continues to bridge traditional finance (TradFi) and decentralized finance (DeFi), aiming to connect various blockchain networks.
