In the subreddit 'r/mtgoxinsolvency,' several members shared screenshots showing numerous failed login notifications. Some suspect a "brute-force" attack, while others think it might be a website glitch.

One Redditor exclaimed, "Just received 15 notifications for account log in. Now can’t get into my account. Is mtgox under attack???" The site later went into maintenance mode, displaying a message asking users to check back later.
